Hi, this is Plumber Chas and welcome to episode 7, I believe anyway, this is plumbing news HVAC news and commentary tonight or today wherever you may be we are going to discuss western-style toilets coming in japan. Also, the dirty floors and bad plumbing as well as the new jersey person with his family that went down to Texas.

We've also got a county doing something we've got California contractors and we've got females in construction as well as probably a bad joke we shall see and let's see what our bad joke is for tonight or today wherever you may be let's see what we've got scroll down on the page.

Why do plumbers wear green suspenders and we shall find out shortly why plumbers wear green suspenders?

We will do our traditional I guess shout out to Flotechservicesinc.com serving Charlotte and Sarasota counties if you have specific plumbing and heating air conditioning needs Flotech services inc dot com and they'll treat you right. If perhaps you are interested in having a shout-out to your particular favorite plumbing and HVAC company go ahead and send us an email at plumbingchas the number one at Gmail dot com okay let's get to it.

From MSN news we are talking about western toilets with warm water washing seats that were placed at Japanese style toilets at an elementary school in Kanazawa Ishikawa prefecture and the story starts out with conozoa despite western-style toilets becoming a common sight in Japanese households. Nearly half of bathroom facilities at elementary and junior high schools nationwide are still using traditional Japanese-style squat wands of September of last year.

Some 57 of bathroom facilities at public elementary and junior high schools across the country that being japan were using western-style toilets interesting very interesting.

For the next story we are going to pennlive.com and the headline reads dirty floors and bad plumbing; York county restaurant inspections that do not sound good and from pennlive.com we've got a story about the following York county restaurants that were found to have violated Pennsylvania's health and safety regulations during inspections between January 31st and February 6th.

The inspections were overseen by the department of agriculture. The department notes that in many cases violations are corrected by the restaurants before the inspectors themselves leave and there are several restaurants and other places that are listed in the story which again you can read at pennlive.com

Restaurant inspections and for the most part, it looks like it was just your garden variety type of errors: rust dirt water damage sanitizers not being stored correctly ice makers so and so and such and such anyhow let's move on.

It seems that the New Jersey man according to yahoo news is still down in Houston helping with repairs along with his family and they've decided to stay longer than what they thought they were going to stay but again good on him for doing it and let's scan the story a little bit.

He basically helped out with the basic things that needed to be done and so good on him and we shall move on to ksat.com Pixar county launches plumbing assistance program for residents following the winter storm.  The program will reimburse eligible residents up to fifteen hundred dollars for repairs. Big Star county has announced a five million dollar plumbing assistance program for area residents to help cover proper dancers or damages following the winter storm.

The program helps both residents and unincorporated areas and suburban areas regardless of who their water supplier is.  Professionals said that being officials said in a statement residents on private water wells are also eligible for financial assistance and that's pretty good.   Those seeking to qualify should be prepared to upload receipts and invoices if possible and pictures of the completed work qualifications for the room for the reimbursement program.

Include the following residents must own and occupy the home, renters are not eligible that might be a sticky point for some people but it's one of the things that's good to know.

An it says that starting Wednesday officials will monitor the lines Monday through Friday so that seems like a pretty good deal.  In other news on ksat.com California contractors, plumbers come to help west side residents with winter storm repairs Kingdom Builders, good for them is providing services free of charge and this being from San Antonio residents on the city's west side are receiving a helping hand from a group of contractors and plumbers from California following the winter storm. The contractors and plumbers who are part of the San Diego area group key builders are kingdom builders excuse me the contractors and plumbers who are part of the San Diego area group Kingdom Builders are providing their services free of charge to every resident affected by the Texas winter storm. According to a release received on Saturday the group is working with the state of Texas to secure an interim license for the group it will be present san Antonio from the 26th of February through March 1st.

Well good for them very good for them.

The last story is a story from tucson.com and basically, they're talking about the myths of other than males working in construction.  The story is in the lifestyle section and we'll just go over one of the myths the construction industries and for women according to the facts by the department of labor women are flourishing and construction scientists.

Boy, I can't even talk about the fact that women are flourishing and construction scientists I don't know why I keep wanting to say scientists instead of sciences but there you go. There are so many women working in construction that there is a professional organization just for them the national association of women in construction or NATWIC I guess that's how it's pronounced and that organization the Tucson branch will hold the virtual event on March 10th.

So there you go anyway let us get back to the mystery question about why do plumbers wear green suspenders?...

...To keep their pants up why else okay anyhow this is the end of this episode leave comments questions and we'll get to them and thanks for listening.
